a significant change

this wall in my kitchen

now looks like this

this giant heavy vintage gold mirror

was a thrift store find years ago.

i tried hanging it above my bed,

but i couldn't stop worrying that it would fall

and kill me in my sleep.

i immediately took it down

and propped it against a wall in my bedroom.

that is where it sat for a really long time.

this giant rustic wooden tray helps to anchor it here

and balances out the ornate-ness of the mirror.

plus it gives me a place for bananas.

i am loving this mirror here in the kitchen.

it makes me feel like i'm in

a cozy food network show.
