there's nothing worse than having

to run to the store when someone feels sick.

there are a few items

that i like to have on hand, just in case.

i was re-supplying my "feel-better" basket

and thought i'd share my favorites.

annie's organic saltines

the very best saltines.  toasty-er, buttery-er.

i might eat them with grape jam, just because.

and don't panic, they're organic.

knudsen organic lemon recharge

got me through pregnancy, delivery, and nursing - three times.

i bought it by the case, back then.

p.s. don't panic...

p.p.s. gatorade is gross.

hansen's ginger ale

 a more wholesome ginger ale.

come to think of it, keep some fresh ginger on hand, as well.

advent calendar, our way

today is december 1st,

and my kids would never let me forget

that our advent calendar begins today.

our "calendar" has evolved into

a snowy forest that takes over

an entire tabletop.

behind the doors,

sometimes there is candy,

sometimes there are stickers,

and sometimes there is just a note.

since the compartments are small,

i often substitute a note that tells

where i've hidden the surprise.

sometimes the note will lead to another note,

and another, and another, and finally,

the treats.

tonight, i used 4 old notes to create

a little scavenger hunt.

they made me smile when i unpacked them today.

today is saturday, tomorrow is december

a cold & rainy day.

perfect fort-building weather.

i am hitting my RESET button today.

drinking a big green smoothie.

cleaning, decluttering.

decorating a little.

making lists.

getting my head together
