lacto-fermented or salt-water pickles.
i had never heard of them
until amanda from our csa
made some a couple weeks ago.
i understand that this is the old-fashioned way.

let me know if you've tried this because
i am almost certain i'm doing it wrong.

i've only canned pickles once. and it wasn't like that! wow..interesting.
those jars are so darn pretty..lacto-fermented or not

I have never done this, but my mother in law would make them all the time. She loved hers spicy and would add in jalapenos and garlic.. Man, those were some good pickles! Hope yours turn out delicious!

I'm so in-love with pickles! I miss my granny's pickles so much! She prepared them with salt water (with some vinegar though) and much dill and black pepper. yummmmm...
