many of you know by now that presents are really "frezents"
and have made the necessary adjustment to your vocabulary.
thanks for that.
ned & i went to a friend's 5th birthday party on saturday.
his name is Z, so naturally, we made him a Z card:

on the inside, ned drew two faces:
one sad face with a red X across it, and one happy face.
i will translate for you:
"don't be sad; be happy because it's your birthday!"
now for Z's frezent, we made a trip to our local hardware store.

So sweet...I love all that Ned chose. I let Lucy choose my niece's birthday frezent this weekend and she chose...5 bottles of nail polish (royal blue, orange, sparkle pink, metallic mauve, and fucshia), a nail file, nail decals, and a bag of candy....all from her FAVORITE store, Walgreens!!
well...of course you made a cute card!!
I LOVE LUCY!
dawn, you are reminding me that i am in need of some metallic mauve. ♥
Catie, I love your posts and am going to try the olive oil and sugar scrub. I've given you two blog awards! Go to my place and check them out!
Cheers!
What boy wouldn't LOVE this frezent? The Z card is awesome too - 5-year-old heaven!
You and Ned give the best frezents! xoxo Gretchen
Wow! I would love a frezent just like that...hand delivered by Ned of course!!
Catie, Z truly loves his frezent! He carries his keys around w/ him regularly, uses them to unlock all sorts of doors & adventures! The zip ties are his beloved treasure, he hasnt fully decided what he will use them for but I have an array of ideas. :) There is a sense of pride he has w/ this gift!! Truly wonderful!! Thank you Ned & Catie for coming to Z's celebration!
