DIY: embellished flats

these are the shoes i'm wearing today.
believe it or not, these were a gift.
yep.
my sweet friend, jennifer,
embellished these flats
JUST FOR ME last year.

to a pair of leopard flats (from target),
she hot-glued
vintage red bakelite beads from a bracelet
and vintage pea coat buttons.

can you stand it??
they are aDORable.
{very comfy, too!}

are your wheels turning yet?
mine are...

here is a list of "toppings":
beads
buttons
patterned ribbon
embroidered patches
tassels
shells
stones
costume jewelry
{a locket?? a brooch??}
game pieces
{dominoes??  monopoly roadsters??}
coins
{shiny copper pennies on turquoise flats??}

but,
if you are more inclined to just order a pair,
check out these lovelies...

{all flats above are from tracy porter}

for the sweet gift & the awesome idea!!

p.s. here's a peek at the flats
jennifer embellished for herself:
what are you waiting for?!
